This picture is the same picture as the last one, but the crop just makes it look so different(as far as atmosphere) that I thought I'd post this one as well! And Yes, I know it's also my avatar, but it works better as a picture...

anyway, I went to the aquarium of the pacific, shot some birds, and this was my best one from that day.

I do have stock photos in my gallery, and an easy way to see my stock photos, one of the folders in I have in my gallery, is specifically for my stock photos. This picture however, is not one of my stock photos, and is not meant to be put into a photo-manipulation by anyone other than me. Feel free to draw, paint, air-brush or create a vexel that you think depicts this in a good manner, but I just don't want this piece to be used in a photo-manipulation, because I simply don't think this would be a good stock picture.

If you want to show me something I should do to make this picture better, or try to recreate this picture in anyway other than a photo-manipulation, plz send me a note to ask me for permission to edit this picture, and wait for my ok. Odds are I'll give you permission, I just want to make sure I know who's editing my pictures and why.

UPDATE: Wow! I did not expect this much of a reaction with this picture when I put this on here! I mean I almost had it only be my avatar, and not an actual deviation, so I'm glad you guys like it!

First of, the piece is really nice. The colors really pop out the piece as a whole - but perhaps not enough. It could very well be a stamp or a greeting card. However, at a photography level the piece lacks execution. the bird seems to have a vibrant feel and it should show that off, but the camera seem to blur out the crucial details and faded the colors quite a bit.Perhaps using the micro lens and playing with the aperture would have provided a better result.The crops seems to hide the potential beauty that the piece could have shown. Overall, the piece is nice but not up to par to what it should be.

First thing I noticed when clicking the picture is the wonderful colors. Unfortunately you don't get to see much of it. I know that you were going for a close-up but I think you went a little too close.

Its not the most original picture as I've seen a ton of bird picture's but they are still very beautiful creatures so it's hard to get bored of them.

I would recommend to make the border thinner though. It looks a little too thick.

Overall I do like this picture. The biggest problem is that you went a little to close-up. I'd like to atleast see the whole head. But still its a great shot.

And I submitted this picture about 18 hours ago, and I have never had this much of a response on any of my pictures before this one, so I'm actually surprised it's gotten as many that it's gotten so far.
